Narrative

Ethel Mary, Born October 26, 1913 in Kansas City, MO. died July 22, 1989 in Houston, TX, after a long illness. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1956 and to Houston in 1985. She was a devoted mother, and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. She was a former Asst. Campaign Director of the Oklahoma Tuberculosis Association. She was married December 31, 1937 in St. Joseph, MO. to Gibson Emerson and was preceded in death by her husband and her son Tom Emerson who died March 24, 1 969 in Vietnam. Mrs. Emerson is survived by her daughter Camille Cunningham and husband Glenn; grandchildren Caroline Michelle and Gibson Craig Cunningham; along with two sisters; Nellie Stoeltzing & Audrey Burkholders. Funeral services will be held at 1 0:30 a.m. Tuesday July 25, 1989 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home with Dr. John Fellers, Minister from First United Church of Shreveport, LA. Officiating. The family suggest donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
