1735 Hanover Co. VA Court Records:
On p. 56 is a land record dated 5-6 March 1734 [that is, 1735] stating, "beginning at a corner of Mr. George Alviss late dec'd on his line."
The record on p. 79 gives an early evidence of George Alvis in America. The sale of a piece of land states that it is the ?217 acres that George Alvis by deed 27 Oct. MDCLXXXVII (1688) did convey to Susannah Ellitte which sd. land...?
July 15 1735. --- To Isaac Winston from Martin Slaughter & Jane his wife; Robt King & Susan his wife Sam'l McGeehee & Elizabeth his wife 217 a. the same that Geo. Alvis deeded 27 Oct 1688 (recorded in New Kent) to Susan Ellitt wh. by death of said Susan did descend to said Jane, Susan & Elizabeth daughter's of said Susan Ellitt. Witness Jno White Jr. Wm Winston Jr. Isaac Winston Jr. & Geo Tally.

Elizabeth Ellitt b. 1714 married Samuel McGehee in 1728 (a 14 yr old). They had 9 children. Sarah, Nancy Ann, Frances, Susannah, Mary, William, James, Elizabeth, & Weathy.
Elizabeth Ellitt's parents are John Ellitt and Susan Alvis; Susan's father is George Alvis, married after 1678 to Alice Harris.
