Zoeller, Johann

Birth Name Zoeller, Johann
Also Known As Johannes Zeller
Gender male
Age at Death 52 years

NOTE: "An Anna Maria Zeller md. Johannes Schaffer by 1717 and remained in the Schoharie Valley; she was sponsored in 1717 there by Johannes Zeller. Anna Maria obviously was related to the emigrating Zellers, perhaps a sister to Johannes and Henrich Zeller".

Elaine Morris adds, "Johannes and Heinrich arrived in NY with the Zeller family 14 Jun 1710. They were, by tradition, sons of Jacques Zeller and Clothilde de Valois, French Huguenots. They initially resided at Livingston Manor, NY, then in 1713 moved to Schoharie Valley. Finally, between 1723 and 1730, they moved to Pennsylvania and settled near Tulpehocken.
Anna Elizabeth Zeller was the youngest daughter of Heinrich Zeller (1684) and his wife Anna Maria Briegal. She m. 1st John Adam Batdorf/Battorf/Bottorff/Pottorff (d. 1758) about 1746 in Tulpehocken, and 2nd to Leonhard Schwartz.
According to the New York Subsistence lists for 1710, Heinrich Zeller is recorded with 2 adults, but no children, while Johannes Zeller had a family of 4 adults. Children of both men were born after immigration.
So I believe it is quite possible that your Anna Maria could be part of this family group."

I cannot find a source fro "Johann Zeller" b.1668, so perhaps Anna Maria was another child of Jacques Zeller and Clothilde de Valois, French Huguenots. This source suggests Johannes and Henrich were older by a few years than Anna Maria but were born in France.

[kdd: descendants of Anna Maria Zeller are often atDNA matches to descendents of Johannnes and Henrich. ]
