"Martin Martin is listed by several men who belong to Group 8 of the Martin Surname Project at FTDNA. I'm in Group 8, so I can confirm that this line is not Scottish but of English origins. However, this Anglo-Norman line also was part of Henry II's invasion of Ireland, thus establishing the Martins who became part of the Tribes of Galway. Some of our BigY matches have Irish immigrants to Colonial Virginia; the rest have English immigrants."
