Hannah Whitlock Baldwin, born between 1613 and 1616[1] was the first wife of Joseph Baldwin, married on Nov. 10, 1636 in High Wycombe, co.Buckinghamshire, England,[2] They set sail along with Joseph's two brothers, Nathaniel Baldwin and Timothy Baldwin, for America. By 1646[3], the three brothers and their wives were living in Milford, having first lived in New Haven.[citation needed]

Disputed Father:
At one time, it was speculated that a John Whitlock, born 1585, in Cholesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, was the father of Hannah (Whitlock) Baldwin and Rose (Whitlock) Parker. Further research by the Whitlock Family Association has proved this to be a false lead. The association with Cholesbury belongs strictly to the Baldwin Family. Sarah Vile appears to be a total fiction.[7]
