Narrative
Thomas was one of the first settlers of Exeter, N.H. He signed the "Combination" there in 1639 and later moved to Hampton and lived on the Austin homestead. He served as a selectman in Hampton in 1652 and 1667 and as constable in 1664. In 1683 he signed, with 18 others, a petition that the poll tax be abated because of old age.
