Carlisle, Mary

Birth Name Carlisle, Mary
Gender female
Age at Death 73 years, 3 months, 24 days

Narrative

Assuming Mary married Thomas in Orange Co, NC, I find very few records of any Carlisle/Carlile/Carlyle then. There was a William Carlisle in Orange Co. in 1760:
"11 Nov 1760 William CARLISLE to John HUNTER 200 acres, witnessed by William REED"
http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/orange/deeds/hunter02.txt

William Carlisle was Witness to Michael Holt's will in Alamance Co, NC June 30, 1767

Another William Carlisle served in Rev War from Guilford, NC born 1764 and moved to Jackson Co, TN. One of his daughters was Mary Carlisle b. 7 Aug 1795.

Assuming they married in Montgomery Co, TN ( LDS Ancestral File ), there are other Carlisle's there:
CARLISLE, C.C. to Mrs. Nannie Wood August 4,1866 (August 7,1866)
CARLYLE, Samuel to Susan littlepage September 6,1843
[ Samuel was born 28 FEB 1820 in Ky to Martin Carlyle of NC and Sarah Owens ]
