"...Mrs. Rogers was a native of Canada and she and her husband came here from Illinois in 1879. They settled on a farm several miles northwest of the city, and there resided until 27 years ago. Mr. Rogers, a veteran of the Civil War, died here 23 years ago. They reared a family of five children here, one son, George S. Rogers, having died eleven years ago. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Methodist church of this city..."
