I stumbled upon your family tree and it looks as if we have a common ancestor, Thomas Greene, the second colonial governor of Maryland. My father's sister, who was a Colonial Dame, did a rather extensive amount of research on the family but did not get beyond his arrival in Maryland. Thanks for the additional information!

Hi,George Tubbe is my grandfather but i never knew him. My father was Cramen Tubbe. I have always heard a family legend that one of my ancesters left his wife and ran off with a Cherokee woman but have never been able to find anything to back this story up. If you could see us you would know there is definately Indian blood in our lineage. My mother was Greek so it did not come from her. Have you ever heard this story? Thanks for your time.

My grand mother was Lillian Maud Knowles born 1910 in Essex, MA. Died 2006. In the late 1970's I was visiting her in Beverley, MA. Her niece had just received a very large book of the decedents of the Knowles family. I have a picture of the 1666 Knowles home in Hampton, N.H. and have visited twice before it burn down. it was in the family until 1957 when it was lost to taxes. A doctor bought it and a fire in the kitchen from his mother burned it down.Anyways, i'd like to do some trace work from my grand mother back. When I had the book in hand for two days, I did copy back from her.
