Narrative

Artemus and Indiana (Lewis) established their first home on land in Washington Township, Gibson Co., Indiana that was transferred to them by her father, Stephen Lewis, in 1849. In 1856, they moved 2 miles southwest of Ennis, near Princeton, in Gibson Co. They built a log home for their residence and to it they brought their three oldest children (Milton, Narcissa, and Artemus and their new baby son Francis Marion.

Numerous trees have Bernard born in OH but several census' say he was born in KY.
