John Meador's will was written October 17, 1721, is was probated on November 23, 1721 in Essex County, Virginia. Not much is told about the life of John Meador other than he had several acres of land. When his first wife, Elizabeth, died 1694, he gave his 7 children a gift of deed of land, not to be sold or done away with, but to always be kept in the family as long as he had a heir to take care of the land.

In 1695 John Meador married, name of 2nd wife not known, they had 6 children.
In his will of 1721 only the children by his 2nd wife were named, because he had already given a gift of deed to the children by his 1st wife before he married the second time.
