In Guilford Co, NC, Quaker minutes, Phillip Hamm and Priscilla Sanders had a daughter Jane b 15 Mar 1771
(Hinshaws where originally Quakers). Their marriage recorded in Deep River MM when Priscilla was "disowned for marrying out of unity". Benjamin Hinshaw of Stokes Co, NC m Annis Bowman of Deep River MM - so there is a possible connection. Priscilla is daughter of John Sanders and Jane Crew.

Hinshaws first came to Orange Co, NC (Thomas in 1765; Jacob in 1768)
Grandfather Jacob died in 1796 in Randolph Co, NC -> other Hinshaws in Randolph in 1790 Census, but William and Jane married in Surry 1795. Brother Jonathan Hinshaw moved to Surry early (land grant 1790). Jane Hamm could have been from Randolph or Surry.
