George Chambers bought a very large land holding in Hampshire Co, VA 1794 where John was born. John also named a son George. No Chambers in Hampshire Co by 1810 census.

Only Chambers in early Louisville KY census was James Chambers

1767 Christopher Chambers from John Relfe (land grant) [index says "of London, England"]

Numerous trees have confused our John Chambers born 1749 in Hampshire Co, VA, died 1824 in Pike Co, IN ( parents unknown) with a John Chambers born 1748 in Culpepper, VA and died in Jennings Co, IN son of Col David Chambers b.1725 Scotland.

Several DNA matches who are shared matches with my Hale/Chambers cousins descend from the Chambers of Baltimore, MD, specifically Richard Chambers b.20 JUN 1700 • Mill Creek Hndrd, New Castle Co., DE d New Castle, DE who married Elinor Miller b. 10 APR 1710 Charlemont, Armagh, , Ireland d. 18 FEB 1789 • New Garden, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States. They did indeed have a son John Chambers b. 26 Jan 1730 New Castle, DE

The odd name of his grandson, Andrew Brininger Chamber, could mean a Brininger connection up this Chambers branch. I do indeed see Briningers early on in Chester Co, PA.
