Elijah Harrison Myers was born near Cornettsville in the year 1821. He married Aseneth Eaton (born 1826). His father, Eatons and Killions came from __________. Near Cornettsville, Ind. As night overtook them they stopped to stay in a cane break as there furnished feed for their cattle. So when spring came they decided to stay. So I heard my father say the Eatons, Killions and Myers' were all kin as they married in each other families.
He settled on the "Uncle Frank" Myers farm north of Cornettsville, & later moved to the farm just north of where Whitted Myers now lives, bought from "Old Canal Co." Here is the birthplace of all the children except Olive who was born just west of Cornettsville. He moved to Raglesville in the fall of 1879 and then to Odon in the spring of 1880, and in the spring of 1881 moved to the farm just west of Cornettsville where he lived until his death.

Elijah Harrison Myers (grandfather of Newson Myers), was born April 30, 1826: died Jan. 20, 1896; aged 70 yrs, 8months, 26 days. He was twice married, the first time to Aseneth G. Eaton (born may 10, 1826; died June 15, 1865; aged 41 years, 1 month, 5 days), Jan. 1845 near Odon. On Sept. 22, 1868 he married Clarinda Carp (born Nov. 12, 1842)(note 5). He settled on the Josiah Myers Farm now the Bissey Farm north of Cornettsville. here weere born William, Andrew and Frank. He then bought land from the "old Canal Company", same being an 80 acre tract norht of where Whitted now lives. Here were born the rest of the children, except of Olive, who was born on the farm west of Cornettsville. In the spring of 1879 he moved to Raglesville, and in the fall of 1880 he moved to Odon (then Clarksburg) and in March 1881 moved to the old home place west of Cornettsville where he lived until his death.
