He was Captured and killed by the British in the War of 1812, according to the National Archives. Keith Lingenfelter found a deed in Woodford Co. Ky., wherein David sold land that he had inherited from his father, in 1819. Charles Lingenfelter of Redlands, Ca. found a newspaper article about a Dean Lingenfelter researching his ancestry in Coydon, In.
