Very odd alternative source is The New England Historical & Genealogical Register", Volume 034 (1880) pg 41 on Ancestry.com
Says "Nathan Smith and Sarah Rogers [of Lyme, CT] were married Feb. 25, 1719. Thomas, born Nov. 28, 1720...Matthew, Jane, Rachel , Jane & Mary twins, Briant, Richard, & Daniel.
The original source in the Barbour Collection says simply "Thomas, s. [Mathew & Sarah], b. Nov 28, 1720
KDD: probably hard to read original mistook Mathew for Nathan.
