Narrative
BIOGRAPHY: James was a devout Christian. They went from Springfield to Northampton in 1656. The "home lot" there, four acres, came to him by bequest of his father. From James, who occupied it 48 years, it passed in 1711 to his sons, Preserved & Seth. In 1799, 143 years after it came into the family Seth sold it. James was in the "Falls Fight, at Turner's Falls, Mass. in 1675.
