Edward Foliott left a will in York County, VA probated July 24, 1690. It named his granddaughters, Elizabeth Moody, Martha Hansford, and Lydia Hansford, and daughters Mary Power, wife of Henry Power, and Elizabeth Hansford, wife of Charles Hansford.
Edward Foliott was Minister of Marston Parish which in 1674 united with Middletown Parish to form Bruton Parish. His family lineage can be traced back to William the Conqueror, Edward I of England, Charlemagne, and many other Kings of England, Scotland, Spain and France.

Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography, Volume I Burgesses and Other Prominent Persons Son of Sir John Folliott and Elizabeth Aylmer, daughter of John Aylmer, Bishop of London, was born in 1610, matriculated at Hart Hall, Oxford, April 13, 1632, and was rector of Alderton, Northamptonshire, in 1634 and until it was sequestered by Parliament. He came to Virginia before 1652. In 1660 he was minister of Marston Parish in York County, and afterwards of York Parish. He left two daughters: 1. Elizabeth Folliott who married (first) Josias Moody, and (secondly) Captain Charles Hansford. 2. Mary, who married (first) Dr. Henry Power, and (secondly) John Seal.
"The Ligon Family and Connections" (Page 102) by William D. Ligon, Jr. discusses the Lygon family and Katherine Lygon who married Thomas Foliott of Perton County, Worcester.
Children of Sir John Foliott and Elizabeth Aylmer: 1. Aylmer Foliott 2. Thomas Foliott 3. Francis Foliott 4. Edward Foliott, matriculated Hart Hall, Oxford, April 13 1632, aged 22; Bachelor of Civil, Law November 24, 1632; Rector of Alderton Northants, 1634, until sequestered by Parliamentary Committee. He came to Virginia and was minister of Westover Parish, 1661 and also Hampton Parish in York County, VA. His will was probated in York, 1690.

Elizabeth Foliot, m. 1) Josias Moody or York, will of Josias Moody was probated 1677; inventory filed 1687; m. 2) Capt. Charles Hansford of York; he is the probable ancestor of the Hansford family of Orange.
Mary Foliot, m. Dr. Henry Power of York County, will probated Sep 26, 1692.
John Foliot, recorded in a gift to him by his father of a filly and a mare in 1679,[1] and named as his "brother" (meaning brother-in-law) in the will (dated 9 December 1675) of Elizabeth's first husband Josias Moody, and appointed as an overseer of the will[2]
