"JOHN D TAYLOR born in 1801 in Craven County, North Carolina to JAMES AND NANCY WHITE TAYLOR.

John's 1st marriage was to ANN WITHERINGTON on 21 Jan 1820 in Craven County, North Carolina. Ann was born in 1804 in Craven County, North Carolina.

Note odd ages in the US Census for him:
1830: 1790-1799 older than Francis!
1840: 1800-1809 odd! no longer next to Francis but on the other side of Samuel.
1850: 1801 NC
1860: 1801 NC
1870: 1802 NC
--> In 1830, I assume that John Taylor next to Francis Taylor is his brother but in the next census, he is 16 hh's away on the other side of Samuel Taylor. Samuel's eldest child, John, was born 1798 KY and had moved to Stone Co, MO by 1840.

I beleve only 1 of those daughters is from John D Taylor and Ann Witherington, as shown in 1830 census. The older one may have been a daughter of Elizabeth Hall before marrying John Taylor.
