"MILAN - It is our sad duty to chronicle the death of Aunt Sallie Hall, wife of Thomas Hall Sr. She died the 14th last, at her home near Larkin, leaving a numerous progeny of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of Hon. Samuel Butler's first wife [Nancy Hall]. Her descendants, many of whom reside here, are among the most substantial and respected citizens in the Valley."
