(numerous Barnes' are bondsmen at Robling marriages0
(John Barnes lives next to Robling's and "Jack Miller" in Pike Co, IN 1840)

(William is John Lewis Robling's brother)

(Isaac Simpson was bondsman at marriage of Peter Robling and Nancy Johnson)

In 1840 census, Pike Co, IN, next door to John Miller of NC, probably a brother. Note he married Christina Hartley 4 Apr 1836 in Davidson Co, NC. Benjamin Hartley was bondsman to marriage of Lewis Robling and Elizabeth Miller, also in Davidson Co, NC. Benjamin Hartley (1760-1829) is Christina's father. John's father Thomas Miller also moved to Logan, Pike Co, IN and lives a few doors away.

In 1860 census, Madison, Pike Co, IN, "Jasper Miller", b.1841/1846 IN, lives with John and Elizabeth Lewis. "Jasper" is Casper Miller, s/o William Miller b.1800NC and Elizabeth ?. _NOT_ William Miller b.1805 who married Elizabeth Beck. That Casper was born 1833 NC.

Last appearance in 1880 census. Both parents from NC. John Miller's parents are Thomas Miller and Nancy Criswell.

Valentine/Christian Miller live not far from the Hartley's. These Millers are descendants of Johannes Müller who arrived with a group of Dutch Moravians. The group included Hans Debalt Letman.

Years later, 23 DNA matches with descendants from the other children of Thomas Miller. Clearly he is related.
