Abraham of the "Sharpsburgh One Hundred" section of Washington County, took the "Oath of Fidelity & Support to the State of Maryland." He was listed as belonging to Captain John Moddaugh's Company in Frederick Countys Colonia Muster & Payrolls, Folio 172.

Abraham speculated on land and did very well but was believed to have lost much during the Revolutionary War, partly because he gave so much to the cause. He gave 1 property in Sharpsburg, Md. to the Trustee of the Dutch Calvinist (Reformed) Church in 1774. He was also a Merchant, Tailor and Farmer.
He moved with his sons George Adam, and Jacob "Constable" to Pennsylvania sometime before 1790. Other children probably went with them.
1790 Bedford County Census, Abraham listed 1 male over 16, 1 male under 16, and 1 female.

They were one of the first settelers in the Klar-Sarah Furnace area, present day Greenfield Twp, Blair County.

He was affectionatly refered to as "Old Abe" and is probably burried in the vicinity of Klar.

Naturalization was granted under statutes 13 George II, c7 and 20 George II, c44.
