HISTORY OF THE PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN PIONEERS, VOL.1, PP 200 AND 569.
Johannes arrived on the winter galley ship "Edward Paynter" on Sept. 5, 1738.

PENNSYLVANIA ARCHIVES, VOL 2, PG 359, shows that Johannes "John", a resident of Lancaster Co, was naturalized as a citizen on April 4, 1743. Invoking religious scruples, he refude to take the oath and was excused from doing so.

"Palatines imported in the Ship the Winter Galley, from Rotterdam, but last from Deal. Qualified 5th September, 1738"
