Married Mary Hobbs, daughter of Josiah and Tabatha Hobbs, on 31 December, 1714, Concord, Massachusetts. Marriage performed by the Rev John Whiting.

"Mr. William Smith, junior, with his father, (a blind man,)
and a family of seven children, in 1765, moved from Weston, and settled on the farm origanilly laid out to Graves and Barnard, to right of Lot No. 13, now owned by Watson and Baker. Their children were Mary, George, William, Lydia, David, Hannah, Enoch Lois, Sally and Eunice. They all married (except George) who was drowned when a soldier in the Revolutionary war; he left one female more particularly to bemoan his untimely death, Enoch was a soldier of the Revolution. Mr. Smith's descendants are numerous, many of whom are now inhabitants of Rutland."
