"Children of Thomas and Susannah Freeman
Jesse - b. May 24, 1749, Albemarle Parish, Surry Co., VA; bap. there Jul. 16, 1749; d. after 1816, possibly in Buncombe Co., NC. Jesse was in Brunswick Co., VA through 1788, and appears in the 1790 census of Ruherford Co., NC. In 1807 Jesse sold land to Malone FREEMAN and Robertson FREEMAN. When Malone FREEMAN sold his land in 1816 it was described as being granted to Jesse FREEMAN, whose will (not located) left it to Malone. Jesse may, or may not, have been the Jesse FREEMAN who married Elizabeth Catherine. It has been suggested that Elizabeth Catharine may have been living with son Malone in 1800. Children of Jesse FREEMAN: Elizabeth married John PRINCE; Spencer Malone married; and Nathaniel Robertson married Catherine SEWARD. "
