This 1750 John was confused in many records by being called John Jr. with the statement that he was son of 1719 John and wife Dina. He was NOT their son, he was their nephew. The 1750 John was a son of Lucas DECKER and wife Sarah. Lucas was christened in the Dutch Reformed Church in 1727. When he moved to VA in 1743 in the English speaking area he became Luke. This Luke and Sarah had only the one son John born 1750. Indians killed Luke. Sarah remarried Lawrence HASS and they had several HASS children. The land that Luke owned was held in trust for John until he became of age (21). At that time Lawrence HASS and wife Sarah deeded over to the 1750 John the land which his father owned
