Hi! I am descended from George Henry Countryman through my grandmother. He is my road block. I can't find *reliable* info. on his parentage. What I do have is a verbal statement from my grandmother that the family started in New York. But the details have been lost. Since she is also distantly related to George I can see why not much is remembered.
I'm not sure what got me into researching grandma's family. I love her dearly and she is an amazing woman to me. I think I started wondering who the people were that raised her.

Ebenezer Beebe, son of Jonathan Beebe and Hannah Coley, was my 4x great grandfather! His daughter, Anna Beebe, married Kitteridge Davis in Wilbraham, Ma. around 1781. their son Jehiel Davis, also born in Wilbraham, married Phoebe Titus Dean of New York (2nd wife) and their youngest child, Mary Angeline Davis, born in Troy Michigan, was my g grandmother. I've been unable to find Ebenezer Beebe's wife name; also the death date for Anna Beebe. I do have a record of their first 4 children, but I know there were more children Kitteridge Davis - not sure if they were by a 2nd wife. I'm happy to exchange family information. Was researching Gage Family Tree. My mother is a direct decendent of Kenneth Karl; however, the family line is limited when he married my grandmother, Opal Turner Gage. You have her parents, but much is missing understanding that all were born at home. Always heard family rumors that we were part of the Thomas Gage line so started googling. I don't know much about my grandfather's side of the family except that my great grand-father married twice and my grandfather left home at 13 regarding the second marriage. His only decendents that are still living are my Mom, Aunt and Uncle. Tons of grand and great grand children.

Am looking up information on our family history of my Great Grandmother, Evelyn Porter-Cross, who was married to Frederick Cross of Plainfield, Iowa. They had 5 children. One of them, the youngest, was Victor Carroll Cross, who later moved to Minnesota. Victor C. Cross,(my Grandfather), married Olga Holmgren. They had 4 children,one is my father, Alan V. Cross. Interestingly enough, My son Ric Volp, now works in Burlington, Vt. very close to where his 6th Great Grandfather did.

Was looking up information on/about my 5th Great-Grand Mother Lois Powers, and her husband Noah Porter, from Ferrisburgh, Vt.At some point in our family history, our ancestors moved from New Hampshire, to Ferrisburgh, Vt. From there, they made their way West, and my Great Grandmother was a Porter, descended from Noah & Lois Porter. The interesting thing is that we only found out this information recently, and my son Richard Volp, now lives in Fairfax, Vt., and is a Policeman in Burlington, Vt. I'm sure that his 6th Great Grandparents, never imagined that one of their descendents would move back to Vermont, living where their ancestors lived 6 generations earlier. And, also like Noah, my son is in the Army, (Also a Lieut.),and like Noah, who served in the Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812, my son served a year abroad, in Afghanistan. Life really does have some unusual twists and turns!!

My direct ancestor is also Joseph Davenport thru the line or Robert Rodolphus Davenport and his son Nick Davenport I. My father was (d1984) Nick davenport III. My brother is Nick IV and his son is V.
