They used to say an invasion by “Sea People” brought down all the great civilizations around the Mediterranean about 1200BC except for the Egyptian empire which was the only one left to tell us about it. The collapse was so devastating, it ended the Bronze Age and ushered in a 200+ year dark age.
It occurred to me we have our own invasion of “C people”, but the “C” stands for Commies.
Funny that the Leftist academics have now decided the collapse was not the fault of the “Sea People”. They were merely dispossessed, desperate, hungry hordes escaping their own failed states. lol. Doesn’t that sound familiar?

The last one was 400 years ago (The Maunder Minimum) when cold wiped out crops and led to mass famine, disease and death. She says we have just entered a new one. Curiously, the Mayan Empire ended 800 years ago. Rome ended 1600 years ago. The collapse at the end of the Bronze Age was 3200 years ago.
