Evangelical Reformed Church records in Frederick, Md., recorded that Rev. Philip William Otterbein married Anna Barbara Brunner to George Bernhard Lingenfelter, the son of Johann George Lingenfelter and Eva Magdalena Degan, who were married April 17,1725.

Nov. 1777 he recovered a judgement for 263.5 pounds sterling with interest against a certain Abraham Lingenfelter and the goods and Chattles, lands and tenements, being lot 79 in Sharpsburg, did hold a public sale. The higest bidder was Henry Eckert for 775 pounds sterling, recorded Feb 23,1779, Pg.459-61. Bernhard is listed in the DAR Patriot Index.
