William and Susannah went to Kentucky about 1806 and located at the mouth of Patton Branch on Right Beaver Creek then in Floyd County, now it is Knott County.

Bought first tract of land from David MORGAN on 12-4-1808
Recorded in Book A, page 8, Floyd Co. Courthouse in Prestonsburg, KY

William and sons bought patents of land beginning at or near the mouth of Rock Fork Creek in Floyd Co., KY – up Right Beaver Creek – included all the land on each side of Right Beaver Creek up to the Richard Hall Branch – the deed corner is on the upper Rock Lick, opposite the mouth of Richard Hall Branch, about one mile above Dry Creek on Right Beaver Creek now located in Knott County, KY
