Parents just a guess at this time from http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hemlockhill/Ritchie.htm . James s/o Alexander Richey and Jane Caldwell from Derry Co, Ireland. Names and places in this family are clearly ours but unsure of the lineage. Alexander and son John were blacksmiths, like Robert, Gideon, Jeff... Possibly intead a brother of Alexander (other sons of Samuel Richey and Lydia Moore) that came with him thru PA to VA.
