Among survivors are his wife, Theresa Gage of O'Fallon; a daughter, Terry Cartwright of St. Charles; four sons, Charles Rector of Harvester, George Gage of O'Fallon, Dale Swarts of St. Charles and Bruce Cartwright of Kane, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
