"PFC. GRADY DAVENPORT killed in Italy
Mr. and Mrs. Staley Davenport has been informed by the War Dept. that their son. PFC Grady DAVENPORT, was killed in action on Dec 26. Pfc. Davenport was in Co A. 135th Infantry. He was inducted in the service January 1944 and had his basic training at Camp Blanding, FL, went overseas in July 1944.
"He was a farmer before going into service. He would have 21 years old on his next birthday, March 13th.
Besides his parents he is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I. P. WILSON, several aunts and uncles and many relatives and friends."
