William thinks Sallie came from KY in 1920 Census.
My grandmother spelled Sarah's last name as "Greene" (Also in the early Greene family bible)
"Elizabeth" from the Greene family bible (Danna Arnett)
Nashville Banner 28 Apr 1917 pg. 12 obit:
"DIED - DAVENPORT---At 10 o'clock Friday evening, April 27, 1917, at the home her son-in-law, I. W. Richardson, Mrs. Sarah E., widow of the late Martin S. Davenport, aged 72 years.
Funeral from the residence this (Saturday) afternoon, at 1 o'clock, prayers by Rev. E. A. Ensor. Internment at Mt Olivet, Combs & Charlton, directors."

==> The 1880 Property Schedule lists both Martin and Sarah, and Sarah appears to be more wealthy: As of 1900, Sarah was mother of 7, 5 still living - only George at 17 yrs old still living at home. Since there are no gaps in her children's names, I suspect her 7th child was born after George, prob. about 1886, and died before 1900. 1910: living next door to daughter Nancy Richardson in Davidson County, TN. |
