Mrs. Cobb was a retired teacher and counselor at Scottsboro High School. She was also a faithful member of First United Methodist Church where she was an active member of her Sunday school class, a former Sunday school teacher and youth counselor.

She served many years on the Board of Directors of Goosepond Colony where she was instrumental in the development of the cabin area and its becoming a resort area. She was also a sustainer of the Scottsboro Woman's League.
