could he have been married before? "INF. SON OF W.T. & B.E. HALL 5-22-1888 5-22-1888" in Butler Cemetery
actually another William T Hall who married Nancy E McCollough 25 Jan 1887

daughter Mary Jane Hall said he attended the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY about 1912. She copied some of his obit:
"Rev William T Hall was instrumental in organizing several churches in rural districts that were not reached by other churches, and it was through his active work and contribution both in time and money that the Huntland Tennessee Baptist Church was built.
He was a beloved man especially by the many hundreds of families in which he had tenderly ministered during their sorrows, or had baptized their members or united in marriage the happy couples in his charges. He had done a life work worthy of emulation, and his memory will be preserved in the hearts of thousands of grateful people.
Funeral services were held at Freedom Baptist Church July 3, 1940 for Rev. Hall. Masonic rites were read by W H Hall worshipful master of the Princeton Alabama Lodge, and son of the Rev Hall"

Mary and Lennis told me his full name was "William Thomas Hall". Lennis said about him, "He had blue eyes and dark hair and was fair complected.... He was a slender man all his life and had a good memory. And he liked to garden. He liked to fish but was too busy [because] he preached, read his bible, visited the sick, held funerals. He could tell where different scriptures could be found in the bible. He canned peaches...jarred sourkraut...grew peanuts. He liked corn bread, butter milk, sorghum, hot biscuits, and vegetables..."

"The Progressive Age" of Scottsboro, AL 30 Sep 1909 -

Dates based on 1920 Franklin Co, TN Census Huntland, District 23,pg 23-24

The area of the farm they owned along Larkins Fork, AL as described today by Bill Cagle:
"Know the place well and it is still called the "old Willie Hall Place". Some old barn structures are still standing. I assume the old house was on the west side of Larkin Fork. This is where the old road crossed the creek. I own the property on the north side of Puncheon Cove. The next cove south is Bear Creek. Between Puncheon and Bear Creek on Larkin Fork, there is a small spring on the edge of Larkin Fork, called the Thomas Hill Spring. This is called out on old deed belonging to Wally Kirkpatrick in Huntsville Al. On down the road there is Hall's Chapel and there is a building that looks like a one room school house."
