It is believed that Robert died before 1708, for at that time Mary bought Guyther's Purchase, located in St Mary's County.

(And it is definitely believed wrong as Robert, Mary and their oldest son Thomas executed a deed 1713. The above land was included in older surverys so the Guythers may simply have deeded it to Mary to avoid dispute. But he probably died before Mary wrote her will May 1716.)
