Dow was not sure that John married Jemima (pg. 603).
John was a highway surveyor and fence viewer in 1743 in Epsom. He was stationed with 20 men at Canterbury and Contookook under Captain Clough; in September 1755 enlisted in Captain Jonathan Fulton's cmpany and order to Albany, NY; and was a Corporal in Colonel Moore's Regiment at the Louisburg battle of 1745.
