Notes by Betty Rode:
Indiana Vital Records shows a 22 year old son Emory E. married 9/2/1888

Susan Robling had 3 daughters out of wedlock. The father was probably Thomas William Miley. Susan took Thomas Miley to court and forced him to acknowledge Mary Isabelle Miley as his daughter. Susan later married Sylvester McAtee as his second wife. His first wife was Mary PATTERSON. Mary PATTERSON and Sylvester McAtee had a son, James McAtee. As time went by James McAtee and Mary Isabelle Miley married. James and Mary Isabelle had 7 children. There was a little skirmish with the law in Pike County, Indiana and James McAtee told his family to use the name PATTERSON. (hint from Kyle Davenport: the story we heard was he was accused of stealing a horse which in fact belonged to him. The McRoberts helped his jail break and they fled to Kansas. See "The Story of Mary Isabelle Miley")
