James Ralph Hall, age 82 of Estillfork, departed this earth at 9:40 Sunday morning, December 18, 2011 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center.
He was born to Henry and Ella Prince Hall on January 14, 1929. Ralph worked on his farm and enjoyed having black angus cattle. He worked at Revere and Norandal in Scottsboro and retired in October 1993 after working 29 years. He enjoyed the last year bushhogging on the farm with his son, Mike.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bessie Hall; son, Mike Hall and wife, Sandra of Scottsboro; sons, Mitchell Robertson and wife Glenis of Athens, Phillip Robertson and wife, and Shirley of Huntland, Tenn.; grandson, Brad Hall and wife, Becca of Birmingham; grandchildren, Christy Lurie and husband, Robert, Stephanie League, Courteney Penny and husband, Jason, Kyle Robertson and Cole Robertson; great-grandchildren, Madison Hall, Caden Hall, Austin Lurie, Ashley Lurie, Jasmine League, Shelbie Penny and Elizabeth Penny; nephews, Kenneth, Charles and Leonard Hall; nieces, Jackie Hall and Reba Comer; and the joy of his life, his dog, Trooper.
The family will received friends Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Home. The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Swafford officiating. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Huntland, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hall's Chapel Baptist Church in Estillfork
