Narrative

Speculation at this time of who Mary Anthis' father was. Her granddaughter was told she was not the daughter of Alvin Anthis. She was born after Maggie died and before Ella married Alvin. Ella was the same age as David McRoberts, and they lived a few miles apart in Pike Co, IN (both 18 years old at the time). David McRoberts is likely her father because of a close DNA match between descendants. Ella in 1900 Census says she had 5 children/ 2 living which wouldn't include Mary, however the granddaughter remembers her saying she was daughter of Ella Dent and a McRoberts.
