Hall, Joseph Daniel

Birth Name Hall, Joseph Daniel
Call Name Joe D
Gender male
Age at Death 86 years, 11 months, 9 days

He was a history/english teacher all his life in Huntsville, AL, beloved by his students. After he retired he travelled all over the country by bus, making friends and spreading good will. His sister Mary told me he had taught for 43 years. For example, here -
40th Reunion for the Class of 1966 mentions:
"A lot of special stories were shared in the room where Mr. Joe D. Hall taught senior English."

One of his students wrote me: "He was a character and could make a story come alive. He was also ambidextrous. He was a really good teacher and I loved him. Anyone that can make literature interesting, in my book, is an excellent teacher. He kept to himself mostly. "

See entry Lennis K Hall - they lived together, and SSDI has a Lennis and Joe dying in Valley, AL. Last address I had for Joe and Lennis was 5304 20th Avenue, Langdale, AL, which is next to Valley, AL.

Can't locate in 1930 - could be Joe Hall wife Mildred District 4, Davidson, TN
